In movies, television programs, and even educational events the Steampunk genre is being incorporated.  Great example is FIRST Lego League, developed by entrepreneur Dean Kamen, has selected Steampunk as their theme for their worldwide 2017 Robotic Competition for high school students. Kids get Steampunk!

Steampunk and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) work together. The STEAM program has become an important part of the U.S. school curriculums.  Students are encouraged to use their imaginations, critical thinking, and creativity while doing research and being inventive.   Attending a Steampunk Industrial show can be that educational experience where STEAM concepts are sparking kids imaginations.

Kids experience  the SCIENCES (sociology, mechanics, and horology) throughout a Steampunk event.  Craftsmen, artisans, and inventor have created the most incredible machines.

Steampunk Industrial genre goes back to a time, before robotic technology, when steam was the primary source of energy for machinery.  Today, technology can be utilized to design, fabricate, and even build Steampunk style.

Prior to the event, families can design and build their own Teapot racerEngineering a racer to maneuver through a set of obstacles is the perfect hands-on learning experience.

As a family, learn how to turn a remote control vehicle into something amazing.

Creativity, a major component of ART, is everywhere you look at the Steampunk Industrial show.  Children (adults too) marvel over the incredible costume creations and accessories made from basic elements.

Water Super Soakers and Nerf guns are re-imagined in Steampunk style. Components that normally have no relation, now come together to create a prop beyond imagination. Thinking "out-of-box" opens so many possibilities. Look closely at the elements on the gun, what do you see?

Kids are doing the MATH, when it comes to Steampunk, they know it all adds up to fun. Tinkering with gadgets, machines, and getting very creative takes the concept of STEAM into Steampunk.

Attending Steampunk at Renningers, really gets a child's creative gears moving. Thinking "out-of-the-box"  allows kids to look at items so differently and ask "what else could it be?".

Bring the family out to Renninger's Steampunk Industrial show in Mt. Dora, Florida.  Admission and parking are FREE.
