 Amazing Vintage RV

Last weekend's Spring Vintage RV & Glamping event brought together over 60 RVs and 80 vendors for a fun filled camping experience.

glamping coverIt was wonderful to see returning campers and welcoming first timers to this annual event. Vintage RV restorers have a combination of dedication to restoring these forgotten icons, creativity in adding character to the interior design, and are inspirational as they share their knowledge and love for their vintage treasure.

Here are some highlights of the event.

Interior collageDuring the weekend the gracious owners, opened their doors (even in the rain) to hundreds of visitors to peek inside.   Vintage RV interiors can reflect the details of the period, combine the owner's personality and whimsy, or be a small relaxing sanctuary.

Women of glampingThe drive behind this Vintage RV movement, seems to be the women who can see the potential. When asked how they became interested in such a project, most commented that they saw the TV program "Flippin RVs" and wanted to give it a try. It was way better than they could have imagined.

vendor collageThe "WOW Factor" comes from those little touches.  The perfect vintage kitchen items, cozy bed linens, and the decorative elements, all of which could be discovered among the many event vendors and on-site merchant shops at the event.

inspiration ideasWith small spaces comes creative solutions - vintage luggage is stylish storage in the overhead bin and the serving tray also acts a cover over the stove burner.  Then there is the cute - these are solo cups decoupaged with fabric (water resistant) popped onto string of white holiday lights.

Processed with MOLDIVThe weekend also included music, camping crafts for the kids, food, evening bon-fire & movie, and awards.
